TOPS LIQUOR STORE MANAGER – LIQUOR STORE MANAGER
LOCATION: VERULAM; WATERLOO
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of the shop and ensuring that they are carried out efficiently. Maintain a level of engagement with customers and employees that is both consistent and effective, as well as ensure that customers have positive experiences and monitor the store’s financial performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
fulfills the requirements of the store’s operational requirements by planning shifts and allocating staff.
Conducting an analysis of the general ledger reports and deciding on promotional strategies to boost sales.
Performs analysis on sales reports, stock takes, and rankings
Performs checks on and gives approval for timesheets and invoices; also responsible for daily analysis of spreadsheets.
Manages the profitability of the store by making certain that sales are raised, gross profit goals are reached, and sales targets are attained.
STAFF MANAGEMENT
Maintains a staffed store by providing orientation and direction to personnel.
Ensures the smooth running of activities by adhering to all business policies and procedures.
Contributes to the success of the team by fostering strong morale among employees and ensuring their continued motivation.
CUSTOMERS
Determine who your existing customers are and which products are the most in-demand ones.
STOCK
Carry out the management of stock control, as well as the determination of amounts for purchasing and the pricing negotiations. Make sure the stock levels are kept up and that they are at their optimal levels. Make sure there is no goods that has expired on hand,
Approves contracts and ensures that stocks are kept up to date in order to guarantee the availability of goods and services.
Make sure the best prices are secured for the promotions in order to reach your financial goals.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Ensures the safety of the merchandise by putting in place various safety procedures and precautions.
Protects personnel as well as customers by ensuring that the store environment is clean and risk-free.
Ensures that the store’s stability and reputation are preserved by adhering to all of the applicable legal standards.

Experience

Experience working in a store that sells alcoholic beverages and proficiency with computers are also desirable.
