Description of the job
Apprenticeship Training Program:
Acquire a National Certificate for the Pharmacy Assistance Learnership Programme (Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant) as well as a Further Education and Training Certificate for Pharmacist Assistance (Learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant) from the Pharmacy Healthcare Academy. Both of these certificates must be earned with a passing grade.
A organized learning program that includes both a theoretical and practical component, and that when completed, results in the attainment of a qualification that is registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF).
You, as a Learner participating in this program, will be expected to do the tasks outlined in the following list:
Learnership Training Contracts must be successfully completed at a registered Clicks Pharmacy and under the supervision of an approved instructor in order to qualify.
Participate in the necessary training interventions, and to the best of your ability, successfully complete the exams.
Put in a request for an Evidence Portfolio.
Assist the healthcare team at one of Click’s pharmacies while working under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist and adhering to the legal scope of practice specified by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC). This position is located in South Africa.
The bare minimum necessary
The necessary qualifications are as follows:
The successful completion of the 12th grade with a minimum of a 50% in Mathematics (or a 60% in Mathematical Literacy); the successful completion of the 12th grade with a 50% in English and a Pass in either Life Science (Biology) or Physics.

Successful applicants will be expected to enter into a work back agreement and will be required to work for Clicks as a qualified Pharmacist Assistant for a period of time equivalent to the length of the learnership period, at a minimum. This obligation will begin once the successful applicant has completed the learnership.
